BA Sociology, Certificate of Spiritual Direction, and member of ANSD, Certificate in Contemporary Chaplaincy, Certificate in Piringa Trust’s Debriefing Training.
Cross-cultural experience
Originally from the United States, Heather’s first cross-cultural move was when she married her Australian husband, Jonno. Heather served as a cross-cultural worker in Malawi and Mozambique from 2002-2022 among a Muslim people group. She home-schooled their 5 children through to university entrance while in Africa and enjoys exploring the complexities of cross-cultural life for individuals, families and TCKs and immigrants. Heather now serves as a community chaplain in Perth.
